Myles Lewis-Skelly had a hell of a week. From the low of his contentious red card against Wolves, which was subsequently and correctly rescinded upon appeal, the youngster went on to play a starring role in Arsenal’s 5-1 rout of sorry Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Lewis-Skelly scored his first senior goal in the romp, and it came in style, as he jinked between a glut of defenders before hammering in a finish that was palmed in by Stefan Ortega. Lewis-Skelly mimicked Erling Haaland in his celebration, and while Arsenal perhaps could do with “staying humble”, the teenager is allowed to enjoy his moment.

They are not wholly safe just yet, but Moyes is doing a superb job.
