The Premier League is back! In just four days’ time, Manchester United take on Fulham in the opening match of the 2024-25 campaign.
Last season featured a title race that ran to the wire, but just as in the three seasons before, Manchester City came out on top.
The Cityzens will be favourites once again, though Arsenal are certainly worthy adversaries. Liverpool, meanwhile, crumbled at the end in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge, though new boss Arne Slot has overseen a positive pre-season.
Plenty of questions remain over Manchester United and Chelsea, while Aston Villa will aim to balance Champions League football with maintaining their place in the upper echelons domestically.
Points deduction blurred the relegation battle last term, though will the newly promoted clubs — Ipswich Town, Southampton and Leicester City — fare as poorly as their counterparts in 2023-24?
