There is plenty to enjoy about this Paris Saint-Germain team.
Ousmane Dembele has plundered 33 goals in all competitions. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is sensational. Bradley Barcola and Desiré Doué are hugely exciting prospects. Vitinha is a midfield metronome, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes are two of Europe’s best full-backs, and Gianluigi Donnarumma is living up to his billing.
Yet for all their quality, there is one player who has perhaps gone under the radar.
Fabian Ruiz is on the verge of winning a treble, on the back of playing a crucial part in Spain’s Euro 2024 glory — the reverse Rodri, if you will.
And while Fabian is not going to be winning the Ballon d’Or, the former Napoli man has quietly gone about establishing himself as one of Europe’s best all-round midfielders.
