The transfer window has slammed shut, and at least until January, everybody knows where they stand.
Following Friday’s late flurry of activity, in which some big names traded places or left the Premier League altogether, we were able to focus on the football. There was major frustration for Manchester United and Everton, while Ivan Toney completed his move to Saudi Arabia.
Here, we break down the key talking points from the weekend.
DYCHE’S DISMAL SUBS
Everton were coasting towards their first win of the season on Saturday, until what was meant to be a helping hand from their manager backfired — spectacularly. In the space of nine minutes, right at the death, Bournemouth scored three goals to win 3-2 and leave Goodison Park shellshocked.
And it is largely on Sean Dyche.
