More Than A Game will preview each group ahead of Euro 2024, and Groups C and D are next up.
GROUP C
After several near misses under Gareth Southgate, England enter the Euros as favourites alongside France, looking to end 58 years of hurt. The Three Lions' preparations have not been entirely ideal, with poor form leading to the exclusions of Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish and injury preventing Harry Maguire from travelling, but surely no team at the tournament can match their firepower. Harry Kane has spent the last season becoming familiar with German penalty areas, netting 44 goals for Bayern Munich in all competitions. Jude Bellingham was arguably the standout player in Real Madrid's LaLiga and Champions League double-winning campaign, while Phil Foden was the Premier League's Player of the Season. Is it coming home? For once, protecting Jordan Pickford's goal, rather than taking the handbrake off, might be the key.
